When I started taking Metformin 500 mg 3x's a day, I had a very heavy period within days! I started to notice weight loss within a month. I never had a major problem with excess hair but noticed my head hair wasn't falling out as much. But you also have to remember that everyone is different :) Hope this helps. Good luck,
