Hematologist????From: Barb (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 20 Aug 2002 16:21:09 -0500 (CDT)
GRRRRRR...went to the endo...in the clinic there is the vascular doc that did tests with my legs and feet because of discoloration etc.It was a long drawn out test..he said my circulation was perfect.Had some similar tests done a while back. His suggestion was to see a hematologist and is referring that I see one.I will get the date of the consult in the mail.I also got results back from vascular and venous tests that were normal. He says there is some underlying cause for all of my bloodwork that is totally whacked out. He mentioned that I have high levels of adrenaline surging through my blood stream and know that dhea is not the same. How can I suppress this?what causes this? Can it be IR related? WHY THE HEMOTOLOGIST? Endo checked all the levels of circulating hormones and said one would be to check if I was going thru menopause, although I was told by the last endo 'No'. All that he said was that the ovaries were producing testosterone which we already know. Neurologist performed the usual test in the office and said I had no neuropathy nor fibromyalgia.MRI is scheduled for February. This is an awfully long wait as usual. It is for some pitutary function.I am so confused. Any advice before I band my head up against a brick wall? This is UNBELIEVABLE!I feel like the freak of freaks. Diagnosed, undiagnosed and misdiagnosed should be my signature! :( I cannot believe that I have been through the mill and yet no one knows how to treat my symptoms.
-- Sincerely, Barb C.
