Re: Ovulating.... or not?

Hi!
I can relate to y'all. I have very very mild IR and very mild PCOS that
was only diagnosed due to 2 years of infertility. I don't have any of
the classic symptoms associated with PCOS or IR. I currently take 1000
mg of Metformin.
I have regular periods and have surges (without medication). I have
been taking clomid which has resulted in stronger ovulation (and
definitely the ovulation symptoms). But my MD says that ovulation is
not like a light switch---either on or off. But that it is like a
dimmer switch with varying degrees. Even with medication I have not
been able to get pregnant.
I have been on clomid for 7 months and my MD says a normal course is 6
months on it and 6 months off of it. (we tried Met only for the first 6
months, then 7 months with both Met and Clmoid). So this will most
likely be my last month on Clomid. He wants us to move on to injections
and IVF. My husband and I are not willing to subject ourselves to that
level of medical intervention. So we have begun the adoption process,
which we had considered even before our struggles with infertility.
Biologically or not, we are ready to start our family.
Best of luck to you!!
