A monograph is a publication put out by an organization outlining a position, the research on a topic, or a plan. In this case, Natural Standard reviewed 200 documents to put together this review (per your quoted text).

No need to apologize. It's just part of growing and learning something new. We all have things we're struggling to learn about.
