Getting to a point where I could not think about it so much (through lots of work and even some therapy with an RN/MFT) was the best thing I've ever done for my health, and my life! It IS posible. I know how it feels, and it's just overwhelming, but your whole life isn't made up of negatives. I take my meds without thinking about it now, like I once used to take bcp's. It's just part of the routine. I test my blood sugar about once a day but I usually don't think about PCOS when I do it. At least if I do, it's not a negative thought I think, just a normal part of my life. I don't think about it so much when I shave or pluck, just because I've found out that all of my girlfriends do the same thing. It's a lot to deal with, don't get me wrong - I wouldn't for a second diminish anyone's struggle to live with this - but it's also okay. It doesn't define my life. Since I've been able to deal with that I've not only been a MUCH happier saner person but also much healthier: less binge eating, more excercise just for the love of doing it, having more fun. It's worth working on, the results are very very positive once you can stop obsessing and get your life back!
