Pat,

Yes, I am seeking fertility first and foremost at this point, but I also want to get some relief from all the annoying health problems I've had for 20+ years. We were getting ready to go to an infertility specialist and probably go through IVF or GIFT, but once I learned about this condition, I KNEW I needed to investigate it and get treated for it if I did have it, even if we still decided, in the end, to use IVF. From what I've read, being treated for PCOS will significantly increase the chances of IVF working. If I do get on metformin, I don't want to wait very long to see if it "works" to get me pregnant, because of my age (39), so we may go to IVF regardless. I just want to increase my odds, since it is such a huge amount of money, and the odds at my age are, well.... less than if I was younger!

Thanks again.
