I have PCOS yet the Doc that diagnosed it is treating it like no big deal! I find this really weird. I am so glad I found this site as it can give me some info I need. Here is my first question I am showing all the signs of Insulin Restance, what test is done for this and how is it done. THe reason I am asking is because this is what happened....I show up for the test after fasting for 12 hours plus. THe tech takes my blood tells me to "go some where and eat something and come back in an hour" I asked what i was suppposed to eat and he said it did not matter, a candy bar, a full meal, a piece of fruit...it did not matter. THis take the blood go eat anything went on for four hours, hardly seems very precise. THis just does not seem right. Any comments?
