Dear Stacy,

this is just my opinion, but ovarian drilling should only be used as a procedure of last resort. THere are other, often very effective ways of treating PCOS if that is what you have (and I can only imagine that is why the doc recommended ovarian drilling). How can he rush you into something irreversible like this? Treatment for PCOS is usually insulin sensitisers (like glucophage or metformin), lower carb diet, and exercise. NOT surgery. PCOS is not cause by your ovaries, just htey are at the receiving end and give symptoms.

Please don't rush into anything without more research.
