PCOS or not?

I have been diagnosed with a 6 cm ovarian cyst after being off bcp's for 7 mos with no period. I have responded + to 50 mg of Clomid the cycle before last and got a +OPK this past cycle on day 19 and started AF on day 28. Went back to dr this past Mon. and cyst was still there and he made a comment that I had polycystic ovaries (never used the word "syndrome") and that I needed to have surgery for the cyst and that he would do ovarian drilling. When I asked him about fertility, he said that I would probably have to take fertility drugs to achieve pregnancy. Then he walked out w/o any further explanation. I scheduled the surgery for this Fri. but now I am beginning to have doubts about his diagnosis since I've not had any abnormal pain, I responded to clomid 50 mg, lab results are in normal range, and I've actually had a normal AF on my own w/o meds. Should I seek a 2nd opinion about this or should I just go ahead with the ovarian drilling since I will have to have the surgery at some point for the cyst?
