>From my experience, I had it done before clomid etc, because of my hormone
levels, my consultant said it would be best to do the drilling first. I too was nervous, as I had heard so many bad things. However, I searched around, and the drilling is a lot less invasive than it used to be, and the results are showing to be a lot more promising. I am glad that I had it done, if nothing else, the surgeon removed a very large cyst next to my left ovary. At the end of the day, we do have to put a certain amount of trust into the doctors. I "shopped around" until I found a consultant that I was happy with. If this was the way to go to have a better chance of achieving pregnancy, then in my opinion it was a risk well worth taking.
