Cat,

I started Spironolactone a month ago. I have not seen any results as far as the facial hair...the doc said not to expect until around three months. But, it is true that you have to stay hydrated with it and it does have symptoms of a diuretic. I take one in the morning and one right before bed. I may have to change that because I wake up at least three times every night to use the bathroom.

My doctor has me on 50mg 2x a day. I suggest that you ask your doctor about it.
