I went for years without a period, and since starting Avandia, I seem to get it every couple of weeks since April. Lots of spotting and cramping with maybe one or two days of actual bleeding. Anyway, I too went to the Gyne - everything normal. She did suggest however, that hormone levels are not reaching a high enough level of Progesterone to keep the spotting done and a realy cycle from happening. Of course, she wanted me to start BCPs. Which I don't tolerate well. So, she's given me a prescription for a progesterone only pill. I have yet to take it. Let me know how you are doing.
