This is a dilemma. It is possible the Metformin wouldn't do you much good, as you are not IR, not overwidht, and your blood sugars seem normal, at least from what you have said. Hard to say, and I don't know what the research is on this. For someone not overweight, it might be overkill and not effective. Has anyone experienced this? If you don't trust your current provider, find someone you can trust, who can help you stimulate a period. What about natural progesterone. Has anyone offered that to you ? It might work, with less side effects.
