Pat that was a great explanation of what's going on in the medical world re: IR testing, thank you. I've got a question: When you say "Others say it is genetic...." etc., does this mean that their theory is that it is a genetic problem *APART* from IR? (Meaning, that the genetic defect is not in the insulin receptors or insulin shape.) If so, what are they thinking of? Like an adrenal problem perhaps? I am trying to get my mind around how this new pathology would work. This has me intrigued; I have heard of course for years that it is believed that PCOS has a genetic component but I've always heard that in relation to insulin receptors.
