Re: Question on IR

Cat,

PCOS and IR aren't related for me. I took testosterone when I was a kid and even though it's supposed to be out of my system even now I know that is still what caused my PCOS.

Also, yes my mother is a Type 2 Diabetc but that doesn't have any factor for me.

And no I don't have problems with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or triglycerides.

And the dr that diagnosed me with PCOS no doubt knew about IR in 1996 even if a lot of other drs didn't. I don't have IR.

The testosterone shots I had as a kid made me overweight and like I said I have reason to believe that this is why I have PCOS b/c there is no genetic equivalent.

When others without IR no longer ask if there are others on the list that don't have IR then I will stop telling everyone that I don't have IR but until then I'm going to tell the truth about myself and that is that I don't have IR. Pls respect that I know my body better than anyone else and the dr I had at the time knew very much what he was doing when he treated me.

Ok, I'm done now until the next time this ever comes up when someone asks if there are others on the list without IR b/c I want them to know that they aren't alone.

Also even if I were IR I can't go on medication for it.
