Marcy,

I am so sorry to here of your troubles. I want to state up front that I am not a dr. The best thing here on this board is advice from experience, to help you look at options to review with your dr.

>From what I know the nurses at the dr's were right. I have never heard
of PCOS with frequent periods and spotting. However... my mother had this problem. After putting off going to the dr. for years she finally went. She had a large growth on one of her ovaries. In surgery they took both, found endemetreosis (just a little). The testing on the growth showed no cancer!!! Yeh!!

My mother's friend also had this. Suffered for a long time with bad dr's. Finally had a full hestorectomy. Doing ok.

Basically my point is to not suffer. Research your symptoms. I do not believe in self diagnosis, however, dr's are human. They don't know everything right off the bat. They should be willing to research in detail what you suspect. I am not sure how old you are, I can't remember if you mentioned it in the other post, but have you thought of menopause?

I hope this helps some. Please continue to keep us informed of your situation.
