BBT is probably the best and easiest / cheapest way of checking for ovulation. It's posible to have a period and not ovulate, although your regular periods with eggwhite mucus make it sound like you are ovulating. Your chances ARE better for conceiving if you're already o'ing on your own. With PCOS, ovulation machines and test sticks often don't work - they test levels of hormones already too high in our bodies.
