Depo Provera, IMO isn't good for someone that's insulin resisitant. I had no idea that diabetes ran in my family (i'm adopted) and the dr feels that the depo shot brought on diabetes in me earlier than it would have, if i hadn't taken it. I know one of the questions asked was diabetes in my family, of course at the time i didn't have this answer. If i had it to do all over again, knowing what i know now, I personally wouldn't have taken it. I was on it for 3 years, oh and when the diabetes was discovered, the first thing i was told, is no more shots.
