Ortho causes me to have trouble with facial hair growth. My OB decided to give me Yasmin to try. I loved it. However, when my samples ran out, and I tried to fill my perscription my insurance didn't cover it. I would recommend talking to your insurance co. to see if it is covered, and then ask the dr. if it could be right for you. I started my glucophage treatments about 2 1/2 mos ago. At first there were no side effects. It was like I wasn't taking anything. When the dr. up'd my dose I did experience some nausea. I lost about 10 lbs at that time. Then the nausea went away, and the weight came back. I have my follow-up appt. next month, and I wonder what will be the diagnosis. As far as kids go, I haven't heard anything that says you should have them right away. I mean anything creditable. I am 27 and my dr. feels that when I am ready I should not automatically think I will have trouble. I have had 2 miscarriages and the dr. says that glucophage has been known to help pcos women maintain their pregnancies. I have also heard of women that were only on glucophage having better chances of getting pregnant without clomid. I hope this may answer a few questions for you.
