Clara,

You did just fine. I was just curious b/c the only way to definitively diagnose endo is thru laparoscopy.

Also, brownish blood (indicating old blood as you have said) can be the result of anything in addition to endo. One example is like I said when I was healing from several vaginal biopsies. As I healed I had old blood.

I also had to contend with old blood (some) as my periods (when I used to have them) would be completing, and also as I was healing from the D&C and hysteroscopy along with my 2nd laparoscopy in 1999. And then the different biopsies.

Thanks for sharing this with me about the brownish blood being related to endo b/c I've never heard that before.

And once again you did a great job with explaining everything. It has satisfied my curiosity.
