Re: ovulationFrom: Lori (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 21 Jul 2002 19:43:59 -0500 (CDT)
Hello... Well first of all if you are trying to get PG than try to go to a Reproductive Endocronolgist ("RE"). You can ovulate with PCOS. Some people do, (i don't) but it happens. There are different ways to tell if you ovulate. 1. Ovualtion Predictor (you can buy it at any kind of drug store) 2. you can use the test that checks your temperature ( you can do a search on line about ovualtion and get alot of information). 3. I know my RE did a blood test and he was able to tell me I ovualted considering I didn't have a period in over 1 1/2 years but I was also taking fertility drugs. (mildest dose). Also check your medical plan. Some medical plans say that if you are trying to conceive and don't after 6 months you can go to thru fertility treatments. It is hard to get PG with PCOS. Try to find a doctor that specializes in it. They are usally better and understand it better. I told the doctor that I was trying for 6 months but I also new I have PCOS and how hard it is. I know what it is like trying to get PG and it not happening. I am on fertility drugs and it hasn't happened yet but that can take months to work also. Good Luck and I hoped this helped.
