Some people do not react well to aspartame (just like with many other foods). Headaches are the most common adverse reaction. Others don't have the enzyme to break down the phenylalanine, which is why there is a warning on the packages for phenyolketuronics. My husband's IQ drops about 80 points when he accidentally has aspartame. I, on the other hand, have no problem with it whatsoever.

You are probably sensitive to aspartame. So, don't consume it.
