Doctor appt today

OK. Last year I didn't realize what I was asking exactly when I was at the GYN. I mentioned my facial hair as a problem and she looked at me and said it didn't look like I had a problem. I explained that I'd shaved right before I came over. That piqued a bit of interest but she was so blaze about it I thought I was being overly dramatic about it. So I didn't follow up.

I have my yearly exam but this time with a new doctor. Actually the nurse practitioner at my physcian's office. (New insurance.) So I want to have the courage to bring PCOS up as a possibile thing to have them check out but I'm hoping I know how to ask the right questions.

I'm already on BCPs which I'm freaked out about stopping for the sake of doing the tests. The main reason I'm good about my yearly exam is so I get a refill on that RX.

I have the male pattern facial hair issue though no serious hair problems on other areas of my body. I have SEVERE mood swings. One of the original reasons I went on the pill was because my period on it's own was never normal, though it wasn't ever quite as extreme as some of the problems I've heard here. I'm very overweight but working on it.

What do I need to ask? And for sure can't they test for some things with me still on the pill?
