I loved being on actos, but it stopped working for me after a few weeks/months, it's been awhile. I took 30 mg /day and doc. said I could go up to 45, but that was the highest. Maybe try upping your dose a bit, you can even break the pills in half. Check with the doctor of course. I am much the same as your friend, I poop all day long, with or without meds.
