I agree this is debatable, but many dr.s who specialize in PCOS are still currently under the impression that SOME (if not all) BCP do have a negative impact on insulin resistance. I did not state BCP's were going to cause diabetes. IR leads to diabetes, and failing to treat insulin resistance because symptoms are masked by BCP's is a risk one must be aware of. Because the subject is debatable at this time, my view is that one is better safe than sorry and doing ANYTHING that MIGHT impair insulin reception even slightly is dangerous, unless one is doing all they can to treat the insulin resistance as well.
