Agitated (somewhat long)

Hello all, I hope you are doing well. I just went back to the doctor's yesterday for the 3RD TIME to try and get the doc to put me on Spiro. No such luck. They had me on Ortho-Cyclen and 1000mg of Met a day, and said that it usually takes a year before you start seeing some results. I am SOOO frustrated!!! They told me to come back in September and if I still didn't see a difference, then they would see about putting me on an anti-androgen. I say they "had me on" because the doctor upped my dosage of Met to 850mg 3x a day. Isn't that a big jump? He gave me a table to follow to gradually take me from 1000mg to 850mg x3, but it just seemed like a lot because to tell you the truth, they have NEVER tested me for insulin resistance. I have NEVER had an IGTT, or any other kind of fasting test to determine if I am IR or not. Does that sound strange to you all? Should I ask to have one done? If I do, I don't see how we could actually take it at face value because I've been on Met since March. I had many symptoms ( constant thirst, skin tags, cystic acne, false hunger, sugar cravings, discoloration of skin, peeling skin in the upper thigh area, etc.), and I also have a family history of Diabetes. (2 Aunts and 1 Uncle on Mom's side, of them 1 Aunt and Uncle are on dialysis) Please let me know what you all think. I'd really appreciate it!!! Take care.... Christie Jackson
