Hi Barb -

There are 2 whole chapters in this book dedicated to underlying causes. Coexisting Conditions and Inititating, Aggravating, and Perpetuating Factors. It states that Fibro does not CAUSE these things. Rather, one or more of these factors need to be addressed BEFORE treatments for Fibro or CMPS can be successful. And there is also a chapter on the lymph system, how if it's disrupted, can cause water retention. I thought it was interesting that this book mentions IR, Reactive Hypoglycemia, and blood sugar problems CONSTANTLY. I am wondering if only you could find a treatment for your IR that didn't bother you, if most of your problems would then either go away or would be treatable? I'm sure if you read this book, all kinds of things will jump out at you. Be sure to get your highlighter out. :)
