What an interesting question. I think it will take an endocrinologist to answer this one, as I really have no idea. AS it is a hormone of the endocrine system, It is likely there is a link, for you.

You might do some research on Cushings Syndrome and see if you can see anything related to your question: http://www.midwivesofwa.org/endocrine.htm#Cushing'sSyndrome

Do you have any kind of information on a connection between PCOS and the ACTH hormone shots? I had to take these as a child for about 6 months I think.

I think that this may be how I got PCOS. I had asked the endocrine dr that diagnosed me with PCOS if that medication might have anything to do with it even though it's been 30 years since that time (at the time it was 25 b/c I have had PCOS for almost 6 years when it comes to a diagnosis). He said no that wouldn't have anything to do with it but I think it does. The reason is b/c PCOS doesn't run in my family.

Thanks for any help that you can give me on this hormone.
