Sonnet -
I actually do have an Accu-Chek machine - do you believe my insurance company
(Aetna) sent me a letter several months ago stating that they saw I was
taking Glucophage and asked if I want this machine FREE? I was never told to
check my sugar before, but I figured if I did need to, I would already have
the machine. I checked my blood today...fasting...144...kinda high..I know.
I've checked it a few times before over the last month and found it to be
higher than it has been in the past when I've gotten it done in the doctor's
office. My fasting glucose usually falls between 85-105 and it has been over
125 (safe number) lately ...I plan to get my bloodwork down next week in the
office. What's strange to me is, I know that I have been eating "better"
than I have in the past, so why would this be happening??? I feel like
garbage lately and my best friend said she can see that I don't look so
hot...I look uncomfortable....and I am.
