I had problems w/ IBS a few years ago. I did 2 things, that I really think help, because I went from daily problems for about 2 years, to none. First, I got off of sugar and yeast products for a month (except for apples - the pectin is supposed to be good, so I had a little bit of apples) That was really hard! not the sugar as much as the yeast. I found myself making baking soda biscuits just so that I could eat bread! Anyway, the second thing that I did was start to take acidophilus tablets. While I can't say that this works for everyone, it absolutely helped me.
