Re: Just how many PCOSer's are overweight?

I feel just like you do. The strech marks, self esteem, etc. I have
been married for four years and this started when I got married. Looking
back at those pictures make me sad. My husband doesn't understand but
is being supportive. The hardest part is that he really wants children
now. It will break my heart if I can't have kids and see his face.
I am 24, 216lbs and look old than I am because of the stretch marks,
thinning hair, etc. It really sucks. I agree on getting the
information out. I mean they (doctors) go to school forever and know a
lot more than I do BUT it is my body and I do notice weird things. Why
can't they just listen or stay caught up with the medical journals or
something. It's very frustrating.
But there is hope. I have been on 2550mg of met a day (slowly
increased) for the past eight months. Last month I had a period and am
having another. That's two on my own. I have also lost 16lbs. It does
take time. I have not noticed any regrowth or reduction in hair loss or
acne. I guess this takes longer. My question is the weight. Will this
come back twofold or is that weight gone for good?
Sorry this is my second post on this subject but I wanted you to know
someone else feels the same.
