No my conditions did not go away suddenly on there own!! Metformin only gave me bad diarrhea no matter how low the dose went. I did not lose any weight on the Metformin or the aldactone or the thyroid med. I went off the Metformin and the aldactone. Then I switched to a diet with no processed foods (from low-carb which I was on for one year and while I did not gain weight I did not lose either). I lost the weight on the diet. Within the first month I lost 10 pounds and I ovulated for the first time in my life and had a period without taking anything. I stayed on my thyroid med and was able to reduce the dose from 180 mg to 15 mg over one year and now I am off of it altogether and no longer have hypothyroidism. Also, my Ob/GYN did an ultrasound of my ovaries at 4 months into the new diet and my cysts were gone! I do yoga stretches for 20 minutes or so per day too.
