Hi Trista
I am Kath and a 46 year old woman with PCOS. It has been a difficult
journey for me as well as for many of the woman I hear and read about on
this website. Weight is a EVERYDAY battle. And finding supportive
doctors has been a challenge as well. I am 5'5" and as of this morning
weigh 193 3/4lbs. My all time highest weight was almost two years ago
at 252. I have since tried to stick to a low carb diet with walking 2
miles/five times a week and 30 minutes of aroebic exercise 3 times a
week. It is a slow process but I hope to get to about 150 one of these
days. I am on no medication but an not against it. I have also started
talking laser treatments for the removal of facial hair. It seems to be
working. But time will tell on that issue whether it lasts or not. I
wish you the best....it is a difficult road....but you can do it. Kath

Stepanie,
I am a 46 year old woman that has struggle with PCOS all my life. However, it
is not until the last few years I knew what it was. I would love to just give
you a hug and tell you I understand, so completely. I have had the same
problems, the embarrassing facial hair, difficulty in becoming pregnant, one
miscarriage, overweight. It is not an easy struggle. And most people do not
understand the condition. I just want to send you a hug and tell you I do
and you are not alone. Even though it often feels that way. Kath
