i have yet to find a dr. to diagnose me w/ pcos, but i fit most of the sypmtoms and believe that i have it. i am planning on starting the atkins diet, my question for anyone who might have done this is will my symptoms get better once i'm on atkins? most bothersome for me is facial hair and regular periods? is it necessary to be under dr.s care with this illness? like i said most of my gyno's have just prescribed birth control pills and claim me cured, yet once i stop birth control my periods disappear and facial hair never goes away. i also have tmj...are any relations from tmj to pcos?
