Belle -
I understand that you shouldn't just look at fasting insulin since it may
show that you are in a normal range, however, when I originally had mine
down, it was out of range already. Why would there be a need to do an IGTT
if I am already being treated with meds?
Also, why do you say that my fasting insulin level of 48 is "doing well"?
This number is going up, not down from previous bloodwork . Don't we like to
see a level <10?? I have been on Gluc XR and Spiro and some other meds for
a while... I just haven't gotten myself to ease up on the carbs...:((.
