Do you still ovulate on BCP??

I have been on BCP for almost 2 months. I will be getting married in Jan 2004 and I have PCO and I want to take the BCP to get my hormones ready for when I do want to concieve. So can I do Basil body temp test to see if I ovulate even on BCP? As soon as we are married we want to start a family right away. Second question, when should I get off BCP to get my body regular and the BCP out of my system??? Should I get off in November or Dec 2003?? I have reg periods already. Thank you
