Pat, Thanks for the input. I am in the middle of this very situation. I called today to set up an "interview" with a prospective doctor...not necessarily for any medical reasons, and the receptionist told me that there would still be a consult charge since I am taking up the doctor's time. I am willing to pay it, but I wasn't really going for medical reasons. Guess I will now. Thanks, Joy
