Re: PCOS--too much estrogen or too much testosterone?From: paula (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 12 Jun 2002 22:40:07 -0500 (CDT)
there are always going to be people who have both endo and PCOS...that doesn't mean that the two are related at all...just because a certain number of people who get in car accidents have eaten carrots in the past 24 hours, doesn't mean that eating carrots caused the car accidents. you would have to look at the % of women in the u.s. who have endo, the % of women in the u.s who have PCOS, and see if there is a higher % of incidence of endo in women who have PCOS...for instance..7-10% of all women in the united states have PCOS...if only 7-10% of women with Endo have PCOS, than there is no greater incidence of the two together...so if 100 million women in the world have endo, than 7-10 million of those would also probably have PCOS with no connection between the two. love, paula
