Bowel problems associated with PCOS,anyone help pleaseFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 12 Jun 2002 17:35:17 -0500 (CDT)
I don't have IBS but I get mucous in my stools. Is this normal for women with IR?/PCOS? I'm not on glucophage presently,as I am awaiting my fasting GGT tests etc. The doctor said that mucous was inevitable in stools and that we don't necessarily see it.He claimed that it was to lubricate the stool. He actually told me not to look.I just happened to notice it the last while. I was also told by my doctor of ten years to stop counting the hairs on my hairbrush. Now,I have little hair left. How frustrating. No faith in doctors. Guess another sign of a doctor misinterpreting all the problems that I have. I don't think this is true. I haven't pains, but do notice a some white mucous and am concerned about this. Is this just part of the picture or is there something else wrong with me besides all the other things. I can't take all these problems.I am extremely nauseated too. Can this also be linked to stress? Lynn
