Carolyn, it's true that Clomid is technically a "fetility treatment"
but, as treatments go, it's apparently a breeze. It's a pill you take
for a few days at the beginning of your cycle that helps stimulate
ovulation. Totally non-invasive, low rate of side effects as far as I
know, and relatively cheap.
For women with PCOS, taking metformin (for the PCOS) along with Clomid
(for fertility) the success rate is over 90%. Ninety percent! So don't
rule out motherhood yet if that's what you want!
