Hi i am 15 1/2 too and I was diagnosed with PCOS 2 years ago. My mom has been diagnosed with PCOS also. I also have a brother.

Don't be nervous. It'll be great if you don't have PCOS but, if you do the doctor has caught it very early! This is great news because by catching it early you can prevent nearly all of the symptoms. If you go to an endocrinologist(a doctor that works with diabetics and people with insulin problems) he/she can prescribe some medicine called Glucophage, Glucophage XR, or Metformin(the generic name). I think you should go to an endocrinologist (endo) because PCOS is an isulin problem. I take Glucophage XR. These medicines will help to make your periods on time and will help you have a big family. You don't need to go to an gynacologist because they are not the most informed when it comes to PCOS, and you don't have to be nervous about seeing the doctor. The endo just gave me a blood test, and asked me some questions about my periods like how regular are they and stuff like that. One thing that I was told was that I would have to go on a low carbohydrate(carb) diet and that other than that I would be just like any other teenage girl.

I really hope this helps,
