Re: To KristyFrom: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 10 Jun 2002 23:28:49 -0700 (PDT)
Right which means that I don't have IR. There is no need to test me for a problem I don't have. Also, if you will take a look at the survey at: http://www.pcosupport.org (the survey will be in a box that pops up) you will see that one of the categories to choose from is: Diagnosed with PCOS but does not have IR or something to that extent. When I filled out that category I saw that there were others like me. I am not going to get myself tested or be put on medication for something that I don't have. And actually the GTT will test for Insulin but I think it's called an IGTT and my dr felt no need to test for it b/c I don't have it. He made the right call. Pls respect that. Also, I have found some stuff tonight that does indeed state that not every woman with PCOS has IR. I will get the links for you all some time tomorrow. If I find anymore (which I will try to do) I will pass on the links. ===== Kristy :) http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html Hoping to be a nurse soon but for now just a Medical Secretary who does a lot of learning from reading on the Net, books, my dr(s), as well as sharing my own personal experiences.
