Dear anonymous my name is Michelle and I have PCOS. I went undiagnosed for 8
yrs. and I've been diagnosed for almost a yr. now. I'm seeing an
endocronologist besides a nurse practioner. I don't feel comfortable with
men doing a pelvic and pap smear. I have lost almost 3/4 of my hair and have
60-70 cysts in each ovary. I have tried Orthotricyclen, Orthocyclen, and now
on no medicine for 30 days. I'm 60 lbs. overweight,have hirutism,painful
cramping constantly that no medicine helps so far. It took three times for
the nurse to successfully get a Pap Smear done on me. And that was taking 20
mg. of Valium before the appointment. They thought it was because I was
nervous. Another dr. told me it could be because of the PCOS. I hope this
helps.
