Help pleaseFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 3 Jun 2002 22:15:59 -0500 (CDT)
Hello, I have been through 2 months of hell with ultrasounds and dr visits. First, I went for a routine pap after not having had one for 1.5 years. I went to a new doctor and informed her that my biological mother had Uterine cancer and that every woman on my biological mothers side had issues. She proceeding to schedule an ultrasound appt. After the 1st one, it was determined that I had a fibroid tumor 3 cm and a cyst 2 cm. They prescribed me the pill and a follow up ultrasound appt. I went back a week ago, and after 6 weeks, my ultrasound revealed many, many cysts on my right ovary. I just went to my follow up appt and my doctor is running me through an insulin/glucose test. They've also asked me to start the pill. I have a scheduled follow up appt at the end of July. I've had the CA-125 test and it came back normal. I'm mainly looking for other women's experiences and what I should expect or what I should do. Personally, I want the cysts out of me. I read up on PCOS............is that what my dr is trying to rule out? They did say today that I had polycystic ovaries. Help please. Could you please provide me your experiences and/or knowledge. Thanks.
