My pain in a trigger point is just lower and off set from my shoulder blade. Not in the middle. When very inflamed it can be seen with and without clothes. My husband know exactly where to press to give me comfort. I have more pain there than in my hip area from the herniated disk which gives me sciatica. Another of my self help is a tennis ball rolled against the wall in this area. Glucophage has given me more relief than all the pain meds.
