PCOS and the eye

Recently, I have examined a patient with PCOS who displayed signs similar to diabetic retinopathy in the right eye only. At that time, I was unfamiliar with PCOS. Given the nature of PCOS and it's relationship to insulin level fluctuations, these retinal findings do not necessarily surprise me. Is there any literature on PCOS and how it affects the eye?
