There is no cure for PCOS. Only maintenance with diet, exercise, and medications. If insulin resistance is the cause of your PCOS, there is definitely no cure, and it only gets worse with age and can lead to diabetes and heart disease and can actually begin causing unexplainable weight gain that seems impossible to control.

Yes, it's possible that if you lost weight your PCOS symptoms could decrease. Most likely when you are young. But beware, the older you get, the harder it is for your body to do it on it's own, and damaging illness and symptoms can occur later on.

If you have PCOS, get the proper medical attention from a physcian who KNOWS about this disease. The above is only my own personal opinion.
