well... it's an interesting theory, but I don't know... I personally never had BV until I tried using a diaphram... boy was THAT gross!!! i did get it once more after that, and I can't really give a probable cause for that time... but I would not say BV has been a problem for me. Doesn't mean there's not a link. If nothing else, the fact that women with PCOS/IR are by definition not in tip-top health could make us more susceptable to, umm, female complaints of this type? I really don't know.

I'm wondering if Vaginosis is a side effect of PCOS. here's why i think so. your vagina is acidic in PH levels untill ovulation. during that time (ovulation) your vagina becomes more basic in PH levels to create a more harmoneous environment to get pregnant. Vaginosis is a condition where your vagina is too basic, (and then you get a fishy discharge, and it's just yucky all together) I'm wondering if because our hormone levels are usually high, if PCOS is linked to this. meaning, because our FSH is high, and this creates (in turn) the basic environment, if because these levels are too high, it's creating a too basic environment (PH levels) there by creating the vaginosis.
