Re: When gallbladder stones attack!From: Renee (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 29 May 2002 07:35:15 -0700
When I had my first attack, I was convinced that I had kidney stones, due to the pain. However, there were no traces of blood in my urine. My doctor insisted that I strained my back, since I'm a physical therapist (and was doing acute care, with LOTS of lifting, at the time), even though I knew it wasn't that. But, the pain went away in the 4 hours I slept between going home from work that day and getting in to the doctor. The second attack, 3 days later, was also focused in my low-back. At first, I thought my back had a problem, and couldn't get comfortable in bed. But, I soon realized that it had to be my gallbladder. I had it out that afternoon (with lots of demerol in the interim). Renee
