I think I understand what you're both saying, and I know it's true that IR can lead to diabetes because of this. But isn't it true that, basically, the difference between diabetes and PCOS is insulin levels? With the high insulin of PCOS, eventually the pancreas wears out and insulin levels are lowered to a point where blood sugar is not longer controlled.

Am I understanding right?
